Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

At New Monument Primary School, we believe in a fairer future for all. We know that by working together – staff, parents, pupils and the wider community – we can create an environment that respects and values difference, and where everyone feels a sense of belonging, welcomed and confident to be themselves. We recognise the value in diversity and the fact that our differences allow us to bring different perspectives, ideas, knowledge and insights that will benefit all. We also respect the rights of individuals, including the right to hold different views and beliefs. However, we are also clear on the responsibility of individuals to not display these differences in a way that is hostile or disrespectful to others, as a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is fundamental to our core values. Together we can create an inclusive environment where opportunities are open to all, diversity is valued and where everyone can thrive, aspire and achieve.
