Year 1 - Healthy Eating

Year 1 have been learning where animals come from and discussing the importance of breakfast and having 5 portions of fruit or vegetables a day.

We tasted a variety of fruits and discussed if we liked the taste or not. We then made fruit kebabs and practiced cutting and chopping fruit. Next we tried a variety of yogurts - plain and flavoured.

We discussed which flavour was our favourite. We planned what a breakfast bowl could look like, chose a year 6 student to make a breakfast bowl for and came up with a name for the dish. We then made the fruit bowls and gave them to the Year 6’s as a special gift.
