RAF Chinook Helicopter Visits New Monument!

6th July 2017
We were extremely lucky today to receive a visit from an RAF Chinook Helicopter to our school field. The Chinook was flown in by 27 Squadron and was organised by Sergeant Chris Pratt. Sergeant Pratt has been one of our mentors on the Mosaic Project, which is run every year for our Year 5 pupils.
The Chinook landed on our running track at 1pm, to the delight of Year 5. The children got to look around the helicopter and meet the RAF pilots from 27 Squadron.
The rest of the school, including our Nursery, then joined us on the field to meet the pilots and watch the Chinook take off and make its way back to Base.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Sergeant Pratt and the rest of 27 Squadron for this unforgettable afternoon.
